Easy job posting

Posted a job for a new assistant. It was simple to set up. Got some responses quickly. Managed applicants right from the site. Good experience overall, helped me find someone decent.

Good for applicant volume

I used Sponsored Jobs last month to hire for a customer service role. Setting up the post was straightforward, and I set a daily budget. The applications started coming in pretty fast, maybe 20 within the first three days. Resumes varied, as expected, but overall I found a few good candidates. The interface for managing applicants was decent, I could easily mark them or send messages. I pulled the ad after about 10 days because I had enough people to interview. The cost was what I expected based on my budget.

Anyone know if Indeed is better than LinkedIn for tech roles? I'm trying to hire a software engineer and not sure which platform to focus my budget on.

For tech, I've had better luck with LinkedIn for senior roles, but Indeed can pull in a huge volume of applicants for more entry or mid-level positions. Depends on what you're looking for.

I've used both. Indeed is good for quantity, you'll get a lot of resumes. LinkedIn might get you more quality, especially if you're looking for very specific skills and want to headhunt a bit. Just my experience.

Hey, thinking about posting a job on Indeed for my small business. I keep hearing about some new employer credit. How do I actually get that 50 or 100 dollar thing people talk about?

C Cody T. 4 months ago
Yeah, they usually send it out via email if you sign up as a new employer, or sometimes in the mail if they target your business. Just gotta keep an eye out for it after you make an account.

I got a $100 credit last year when I first started using them. It just showed up in an email a few days after I registered. You apply it in the billing section of your employer dashboard, pretty straightforward.
